The number of the drives that can be unlocked is unlimited, you pay for tool not drive unlocked.

Can Seagate HDD Service Device EXTENDED Kit unlock the drive either?
Yes it can unlock
the drive, as well as manipulate the firmware modules, run tests and configure the drive.

What models of Seagate hard drives are supported by Seagate HDD Service Device?
Both, the EXTENDED KIT and BASIC KIT, support the following models: Uxx, BARRACUDA ATA x, Bali, Belize, Lapaz, Mauri. Additionally BASIC KIT works with older
drives as well.

What is the principle of operation of the Seagate HDD Service Device?
Seagate HDD Service Device makes use of the protocol
implemented by the manufacturer of the drive, connects to the drive via the service connector located on the back side of the drive (between
the power and IDE connector).

Does Seagate HDD Service Device remove ATA PASSWORD from the drive or just reads it from there?
The tool reads the master ATA PASSWORD directly from the drive. As a result the drive can be unlocked
then drive and data can be accessed and finally as the password was read not just vanished the drive can be locked back with the original ATA PASSWORD in place, to keep the owner unaware that the drive (data) was accessed / copied.

Yes, the kit includes everything what is needed to unlock / repair the drives, no
additional tool is required for operation.
